Dublin Beamer Theme
Quarto or LaTeX · for seminars, job talks and lectures
A modernised replacement for Beamer's default themes, built for talks that carry exhibits. Widescreen, a restrained palette, and layouts for regression tables, figure pairs and appendix navigation.
- Write slides in markdown, or use the LaTeX version directly on Overleaf.
- Callout boxes, headline figures, numbered captions and equations.
- Appendix jump buttons that return you to the slide you left.
- Matching colour scales and plotting styles for matplotlib and ggplot2.
UCD Quarto Thesis Template
Quarto book · for a PhD thesis in the alternative (papers) format
A thesis project set up to UCD's formatting guidelines, adapted from Rob Hyndman's Monash template. Three paper chapters with an introduction and conclusion, so the structure and the formatting are both settled before you start writing.
- UCD cover page and front matter in the order the guidelines specify, with the 30mm binding margin, 11pt IBM Plex Sans and 1.5 line spacing already set.
- Renders a colour PDF for examination and a separate greyscale PDF for bookbinding, which keeps links and citations black and avoids the double-rate printing charge.
- APA references through CSL, lists of figures and tables generated for you, and cross-references that work across chapters.
- Paper-chapter templates with guidance on the authorship acknowledgement, plus an appendix template.
Getting started. Each repository carries a README with the steps to render it and what is worth changing first. If something does not work, or you would like an addition, get in touch.
